Sat, December 25, 2004 - 5:51 PMThe Klezmatics. An amazing band based out of New York. They play contemporary and traditional Kelzmer music, with almost all the lyrics in Yiddish. I highly recommend their album "Jews with Horms" and "Possessed"

Sat, December 25, 2004 - 10:11 PMchava alberstein has recorded some old yiddish songs. the collection is a bit uneven - i think she wrecks "oifn prepetchik" and the partisans' song, but does a good job on some others - like "frilig" and "margaritkalach".

Sat, April 9, 2005 - 6:17 PMHi, noobie here. One of my favorite Jewish artists is Rebbesoul. He does traditional Jewish music with a jazz/rock twist to it. I heard him live a few years back, after loving "Fringe of Blue" for a very long time. His electric version of "Alenu" is a show stopper! -
